When brainstorming posts, events and such for this holiday, I threw out the idea of an open sew day to the PFAFF team. They LOVED it! I did too – obvi – but I wasn’t expected that kind of reaction. My workshops are loads of fun, but they are a production and take a few full days before to prep. This will be just a casual day during the most wonderful time of the year (cue jingle bells), where sewists can come to the studio, sew whatever project their heart desires (all on PFAFF machines!) and hang with like minded sewists. Sound like a fab idea? I know!
Date + Time: Saturday, December 10 from 1-5:00PM
Where: Madalynne Studios in Philadelphia
Price: $15 (to cover cost of treats. I’m thinking a hot chocolate bar?)
What: Work on your own projects in my bright, spacious sewing studio. You can bring your own sewing machine or sew on one of PFAFF Passport 2.0 or Coverlock 4.0 sewing and coverstitch machines. This is a great opportunity to make time to work on your UFO’s (unfinished projects) and to connect and enjoy an afternoon of sewing.
How is This Different From My Bra Workshops? You can certainly work on a bra during the open sew day, but I cannot guarantee that you’ll have my full attention. This is really a means to help build and connect with the local PFAFF community and have a fun afternoon. For the bra workshop, which is just 1 week after, students will walk away with a finished bra plus goodie bags with more fabric, trims and patterns to make more at home. Plus, they’ll get my full on attention throughout the day.
